The Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund Board (“PCFB”) is inviting eligible candidate to join our team for the exciting opportunity below:
IT Officer
(Starting salary $37,585)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeingcore IT network infrastructure, system architecture, and API management to ensure high system availability, network resilience, and seamless project initiation;
- Evaluate operational requirements and drive the secure adoption of innovative IT and AI solutions, including enhancement to existing systems, to enhance workflow automation, operational efficiency, and decision-making capabilities;
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, threat monitoring, appropriate operational safeguards, data protection controls, and incident response measures to ensure full compliance with relevant information security frameworks and statutory data privacy requirements;
- Conduct cybersecurity risk evaluations, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing;
- Manage external IT service providers and contractors to ensure quality service delivery, strict contract compliance, and timely execution of technical deliverables;
- Perform other duties and technical support tasks as directed by supervisors.
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline;
- A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in network administration, solution implementation, and cybersecurity management within a structured organisation;
- Solid technical knowledge and practical experience in IT network infrastructure, routing and switching, and system integration. ERP system revamp and maintenance experience are desirable;
- Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot). Experience in workflow automation initiatives is preferred;
- Proven track record in applying cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and conducting security risk assessment and management programmes;
- Possession of relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CCNA, or PMP is preferred;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team;
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with strong interpersonal communication skills.
