IT Assistant
The Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund Board (“PCFB”) is inviting eligible candidate to join our team for the exciting opportunity below:
IT Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide IT front-desk support to all internal users, troubleshooting daily operational issues regarding computer hardware, software, network connectivity, and meeting room audio-visual systems;
- Conduct routine health checks on IT facilities, executing data backup procedures, and implementing basic security patch management;
- Update and maintain an accurate inventory list of all IT hardware and software assets;
- Handle routine content updates and publishing for website, and assist in monitoring the performance of web hosting services;
- Assist in monitoring the daily service delivery of external IT vendors, and follow up on user feedback to maintain service quality;
- Assist in IT procurement exercises and perform routine administrative tasks;
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT technical support, helpdesk operations, or basic systems administration;
- Experience in supporting meeting room AV systems, online video-conferencing solutions, and desktop operating systems;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environment, including Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, and basic file server permissions;
- Knowledge of basic virtualisation concepts;
- Professional qualifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or ITIL Foundation will be an added advantage;
- Good communication skills in both Cantonese and English;
- Meticulous and responsible, with a strong service-oriented mindset;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
